Sorry it took me over a year to respond to your question. somehow it slipped through the cracks. Grandma's kitchen has a lot of spice, like a rye bourbon, which is strange since makers is a wheated bourbon........but it also contains some hints of nutmeg and other spices you would find around "grandmas kitchen".

mhasman, yes, it is mastodon. Mastodon 532's are one of my favorite knives. I have a quite the variation in my collection. I like the bark ones as much as the smooth and creamy ones!! also enjoy some 80 proof rice bourbon on a cold Saturday afternoon

I got this bottle of Jamaican Rum as a Christmas gift. It's a bit outside of my wheelhouse as I'm used to Bacardi or something similar. The best way I can describe this is that it's a no-nonsense Rum. Much, much different than what I'm used to. It is absolutely bursting with flavor. This will be an acquired taste for me as it is rather overpowering on my first sampling.

Anyone else just stick to one bourbon? I love Wild Turkey 101° and every other bourbon I've ever tried doesn't come close. It hasn't mattered how expensive the others were they simply didn't top the kickin' chicken.
 
The marksman never bit me but was close a few times when I first got it. I adjusted the lock a bit and have not had a problem since. The stag knife is a 117. It was one of the limited run Buck did a bit ago.

I always look forward to seeing your knife pictures. You have an unbelievable collection!! I use to drink more bourbon, but it is getting harder and harder in my area to find anything but the standard stuff. If a store does have any non standard bottle it is priced in the stratosphere.
