Is there a particular time of year that new products generally become available on Buck's website ? Do any of the Buck/Hood knives ever become available?

New knives for 2013 become available through out the year, they don't all hit a once. As far as the Buck/Hood knives, if you want one there all over the bay.

I do most of my buying on ebay . All the pricing I see is lower on buck's site with my discount never check to see what it is . percentage wise I thought it varied on the knife honestly.

You must be talking about the Pro Site discount as it is substantial. I've found it to be about 70% off across the board. Good for two knives a year.

yes that is it . don't wanna waste my 2 knives if some of the other knives will eventually come to the site

I thought the Pro Site discount was the same as the collector's club, 40%? That's what it shows for me at least.

I just checked and it seems that this year the discount is 60% off. Last year it was more, about 70% off.

For instance, the Hoodlum listed at $242 is $96.80 with the discount. That's only 40% of the original price or 60% off.

Interesting, I'm logged into the Pro Site right now, and the Buck/Hood comes up as 145.20. I'm not a member of the collector's club though, might that be the difference? Or am I just not professional enough?

Stunt, try this and you'll get a different price.

Sign in and it takes you to your "account" page. Instead of clicking on "shop" and then going from there, click on "knives" under where it shows "purchases remaining". You'll find the lower prices there.

Give it a try.

Dave,

I gave that a shot, and ended up with the same thing. I thought it was odd that you guys got the lower prices, but I always figured it was because I wasn't a member of the BCCI. I wonder if it's because I signed up as Law Enforcement.

I also had an issue where the prices would be higher when I would click on "View Details", but that seems to have stopped at least.

That may be true. If I go the other route though, I get the same prices that you're seeing and I really don't know why that is.

Actually stunt double you are correct. I signed up for the Pro site before Bcci and my discount was only 40 %.
After I became a BCCI member the discount increased with the activation card they sent me which is 60 %

I guess that being said has anybody ever seen any of the Buck Hood knives actually be in stock for sale on Buck's site

My biggest issue with the Pro Site and the site in general is that so many of the knives are "currently not available". I'm not talking about just the new for 2013 models, but many many of the older models.

There's not one single knife available at this time that I'm interested in buying. :grumpy:

The Hood line isn't on my wish list, so I rarely check them for availability, but I seem to remember someone on the forum catching the Hoodlum once when it was available. That post might be found by doing a search.

I bot the big Hood, with pot holder notch, for under $100 last year via BCCI log in. I'll get a pic up for your amusement.
