I have ordered directly from Bud Nealy in the past, about 3 years ago. When I called to order this knife that was on Bud's site, Karen remembered my name. I like that. It turned out that this knife had been sold. Karen called me at home and told me that Bud was making another one....in S30V and thicker stock (nearly 3/16"). I was thrilled! So, she shipped the knife overnight and didn't charge me any extra for shipping, apologizing because the original knife wasn't available when I first called. Now, where else do you get that kind of personal touch outside the knife world? Nowhere that I am aware of.
The knife is really nice. It has a beautiful hand-rubbed satin finish, fit and finish is typical Nealy "clean". Stout little carry piece. And it looks very non-intimidating, sort of like a paring knife. The MCS II system blows the original system away, a definite evolution of an already great idea.
I will be buying from Bud again in the near future. Karen simply rocks!
