I've always liked the look of Bud Nealy knives, and own one. It's small and light, good use around the house, but not for taking outdoors. Since I rarely see anything about his knives on here I was wondering if anyone EDC's or at least uses one of his knives realatively often. They seem best suited as a concealable 'last ditch' type of blade, which limits their day to day use.
Very nicely made knives, I guess I just have to many Busses and it seems small and thin.

I tried to order a knife from Bud but he never got back to me. I proceeded to get my first Busse and never looked back. Funny how things go. His knives look very nice.

Bud Nealy makes great knives. He sets up at the one day Chesapeake Knife Show held in December in Timonium,MD.. He has been a full-time maker since 1980. Most of his knives are combat and concealment type.

i carry either a nealy 5" M2 pesh kebz or amoeba when i carry a fixed blade (which is a rare event) and they are imho excellent knives, i have had the 'kebz for 6 or 8 yrs now, bud also makes excellent sheaths (not all 'smiths do FWIW) the MASS is top notch (i do not like the MCS for my style of carry though) and the knife/sheath combo is imho one of the very best for edc use as far as comfort/ease of draw/design of the knife/concealment, its hard to beat bud for an edc FB imho, him and al polkawski are my 2 favs FWIW.

and i did edc the kebz and amoeba quite a bit for a couple of yrs, but its just a lot easier to deal w/a folder day to day imho, i already carry too much stuff lol.

I've got a small Pesh-Kabz whih would do nicely for a concealed defensive blade. I also have a Cave Bear, which is truly wicked. I use the Cave Bear in the kitchen, where it will cut anything. Except me. I am very careful around that little razor!

Edit to add: I always stop by Bud's table at any show I find him. Friendly people and beautiful knives, even if I'm not looking for the really elegant models. Maybe someday. :)

i havent ever met bud but have talked to him on the phone a time or 2, great guy imho.
