They did - kinda. There was a Spyderco Rescue PE with FRN and VG-10 IIRC, but that's even rarer and harder to find than the Cara Cara Rescue PE... Which I ordered from the UK because it's completely sold out here and they don't seem to pop up on eBay at all anymore.

I saw a VG-10 rescue pop up on eBay but the bid price snowballed out of control right away. Sigh.

Sweet Vic and Opinel collection! I've been meaning to pick up an Opinel, but I keep getting sidetracked from doing the necessary research to find the exact model I want.

Thanks again! But why bother? They are so cheap!? And in terms of raw cutting ability, nothing beats the thin full convex grind of an Opinel! For the record, I never carry them on my person. I have an No.08 in my pack and a No.09 and 10 opened laying on my oven in the kitchen. Don't use the No.06 and 07 to be honest. Use them almost strictly for food. If you can relate to that I would say start with an INOX No.09.

couple bucks that are a bargain. If I were honest with myself these 2 knives could handle just about any task I may have to do and last a long long time.
