"Budget Blades Series" Coming Soon

Budget Blades in 100$ ??? Are you kidding me? It is already costly too much. Any way all the best. Hope those blade will be good quality.

Already eight posts in and running strong, sorry for crapping up the thread John I just thought this was ridiculous. Glad to see you working with a scandi edge. I am what is commonly referred to as an imbecile when it comes to sharpening so if it's not a scandi or a set angle on a guided system I am out of luck. Hopefully I have enough extra cash to snag one.

You aren't out of luck. If it doesn't match your guided sysyem, just use it until it dulls a bit then resharpen at your preferred or available angle.

The Great thing about steel is that all you need for a sharp edge is a clean apex. Some steels can support a thinner edge, and some can't, but aside from that all you need is a clean apex of near any angle and you can cut something.

In other words, pretty much any guided system can reprofile and/or sharpen Johns knives, its just that some may do it faster or more efficiently.
