Buffalo Hide Picker Knife

I still think the blade is a wharncliff, without much alteration. The nail nick looks right for this. If it were an altered sheepsfoot, the nail nick would be different, unless they ground off the entire nail nick of the original and put a new one in just the right spot for a wharncliff.
