Here is another "Swift" Companion knife. The Swift knife has an 1/8' thick blade, 7 1/2" total length with a 3 1/8" cutting edge. The blade is hand-rubbed 1084 HC steel with false, top bevels and a nice temper line. The handle scales are stabilized Buffalo horn with red liners and stainless steel handle bolts and lanyard liner. The knife is shown with a black "cord-knot" lanyard fob and tooled, black leather pouch sheath by Tess.
Price, with leather sheath: $250.00, plus shipping.

Visa, MC & Paypal are all fine and your satisfaction is always guaranteed.

Thanks again,
J. & Tess

I really like the clean, simple lines. The red spacers are a nice touch as well.
You are one prolific knife maker. On an average, how many knives do you crank out in a week? It amazes me that folks like you can output so many pieces and maintain the amazing quality you do. I've got a looooooooonnnnggg way to go :(

Thanks for the post,J.

Hey Dana,
Thanks for your kind words. I normally put out about 12-15 knives per month. That really isn't alot since I know makers who do that many per batch. I've never been able to work like that though. I make them one at a time for the most part, though I may have several different projects going at once. It's a tough way to make a living but, I find it much more pleasurable and I can keep my quality/workmanship up easier that way. I get bored doing the same thing over and over anyway. Thanks again, if I can be of any help at all just let me know.

I like the simplistic beauty in that knife and Dana is right the red spacers add a nice touch :)
The sheath is cool too , funny when I make a sheath I think I put too much into it , your sheath here is simple and to the point but still looks very nice.

Good work :)

Nice work J (& Tess). I really like the lines of this one. The red liners are a nice touch too.
Great Job,

Very nice. I really like the handle shape. The red spacer is a nice touch.

Do you know how thick the spacer is that you used? I usally use .015" spacers. That looks like .03" and really like the way it turned out.

Thanks guys I appreciate that.

Michael, the spacer material is .024 thick. It the plastic spacer material from Texas Knifemaker Supplies. As far as I know, they are the only one's who carry this type. I've been using this exclusively since I had some of the vulcanized paper shrink on me (a few years back). It's more expensive but, to me, it's worth the piece of mind. Plus, it polished up to a high gloss to match the glossy stabilized wood, horns, etc. I use alot of.
