Buffalo Jawbone axe

I promised to get a pic of this up quite awhile ago.

It was made by La Ne Ayo of the Creek indian tribe. Buffalo jawbone axe.

This was made by my Dad.

This was painted by my Mom.

And this rounds out the wall.

That Jawbone looks impressive . How is it fastened to the handle ? It looks functional and nice looking . What does it swing like ?

The handle is split and wedged over one of the teeth. There is a bone run through the handle just below the head, it anchors the head with sinue.

I don't swing that one. If I were to grab something off the wall to swing, it would be Dad's warclub!

Yeah it does look too nice to use . It looks like it would take a fearful bite outa something .
