I discovered this buffer yesterday. It runs very smooth and I am thinking that it will work for removing the burr after beltsanding. I know you Busse guys know a thing or two about this stuff. Help me out please! What did I find? Will it work for this purpose? I also discovered a variety of motors, grinders and a lathe. Thanks!

It has on/off positions so I don't think so.

I know nothing about it other than it was used for making jewelry.

I like variable speed. Wait for other replies.
Are you going into the biz?

Oh no Rolf, not me. I want to be able to sharpen my knives this way though. I like this kind of stuff. (not that I would not love to make my own knife though:))

OK, coo.
I ground my first blade today.
Watch that buffer. They can heat metal up fast!

Not bad!
I sent it out for HT. I will have pix of that blade and my Busse family...soon.

That sounds about right:D

I can't wait to see the pics. Glad it turned out well for you!
