Please excuse the novice-y question but is there a simple way of buffing a stonewashed blade to a polished satin ? Have any of you guys done such, if you have I'd love to see pics.

Take 400 grit sand paper and a very flat and smooth surface, like a slab of granite, and move the blade back and forth. I've done it in the past to a Becker BK-17 and it came out amazing. Sorry I don't have pics of it, I sold it off a few years ago

I did a satin finish on one of my blades, very easy. 400 grit sand paper. I use my fingers and just scrub, with or without water. Without water seems faster but makes a fine dust (probably not safe inhaling it).
