Today I made a knife with leather handles. Now I decided I want to wax the handles, so I heated up a vat of it and put 2 coats on it. My question is how would you go about buffing wax on leather? I also am making a leather ring that I want to do this to. Any help is aprecciated.

start rubbing with a soft clean cloth. If you have a buffer and a clean (as in zero compound on it) unstitched buff you can hit it lightly on that. This is how I buff my leather sheaths when I used to use wax on em.

I make a beeswax paste with beeswax and turpentine. I rub it into the leather and lightly pass over it with the heat gun until the leather absorbs the wax. Don't stall the heat gun in one place and don't get to close. Repeat several times. Then I buff it with a soft cotton cloth.
