First post photos it might help others to give you some advice and guidance. Looking at their website they certainly seem to promise a very high quality sword and their prices reflect that . Get in touch with someone further up the chain and consider approaching them with respect, this could all be just a mess-up. Suggest that the sword you were sent doesn't reflect the high standards shown on their website Even if you are mad telling someone they are wrong is going to make them resistant to helping you . Of course you paid your money and you have a right to expect what they promised . If after some effort they really are resistant to putting things right then you have this community to help out. There are various forums here where a make would prefer not to be mentioned on . If it was a dealer contact both the dealer and the company (again) if I was a maker of quality knives or swords and a dealer is damaging or mishandling them then palming them off to customers I would want to know . Also you might have consumer laws that protect you from "items not as described" situations. I am not a US citizen so I am not sure what your rights are here. In my country manufacturer's and seller's tunes tend to change at the mention of statutory authorities especially if they have a good rep to protect . Take inspiration from the Sun Tzu's The Art of War (not Japanese, I know

) and win the battle before you step on the battlefield . In other words try everything reasonable you can before shitting on them from a great height . I hope this all goes well for you
