I have a Tanto knife from the Samurai set from Bugei trading company. This is a forge folded swedish powdered steel tanto with a blade just over 9" and an overall length of approx. 15.5" It is made be able to be used like a Samurai would ahve used them and this knife is as solid as a hammer. You can see the Hamon but I don't know if the pattern in the folded steel shows up. It almost looks like damascus but it is not.
