Bugout Custom Shop Titanium gone?

I've been playing around with the bugout custom webpage for a while now and I've noticed options disappear and reappear (like blade steel options). I always thought they ran out of stock and had to order/make more.

Anyone else checked out the custom shop lately? As of tonight they only have the Crooked River, Mini Crooked river, the Bugout and a couple kitchen knives available. Steel only in S30V and S90. No titanium scales for the Bugout. Missing a lot of original knives and options... wondering WTH is going on over there.

It bugs me too (pun intended). The only way I'd buy a Bugout is with the Benchmade Ti scales, so I'm very jealous of halden.doerge halden.doerge and his Ti Bugout!

For a while I also wished that they'd bring the Griptilian and Barrage Family of knives back to the custom shop too - I also want a mini-Barrage with black tanto partial serrated S90V blade and CF scales, and a mini-Griptilian with black tanto non-serrated in S90V with desert tan scales (same as the custom my son ordered a while back).

I had been wanting to move away from BM for about a year. When they removed knives from the custom shop, I knew I'd finally be moving on. I still have love for them, it is sad to see them go.

I've always preferred assisted opening. No more!

Spyderco Manix 2 saved me : ) Just need to figure out how to get laser engraving...

I hope this helps ; )

Why just Benchmade's? So many great aftermarket options.

I don't know why but I get a little OCD lately about changing up or modifying my knives. I have a bunch of things to install like Flytanium carbon fiber scales for my mini-griptilian, and Ti skull pocket clip for my mini-barrage, or Lynch deep carry clip for my Spyderco and CRK and Benchmades, etc. But I can't bring myself to change them out and have a Frankenknife. In my head it feels wrong, or out of balance, but it's all in my head. I can get that fixed though.

Somehow I didn't have this problem when I modded an Omega Moonwatch a few years back to add a Mitsukoshi reverse panda dial and Mitsukoshi silver hands. But maybe that was because I also have a stock black dial Moonwatch and a LE panda dial Moonwatch (Speedy Tuesday) for the perfect triad or set. And I still swap out bracelet and leather or NATO straps on my watches. But give me a knife and I seem to want to keep it whole and original.

I have felt the same way as you for a while, till this year. I knew 2 knives I wanted that either didn't exist or impossible to find. And I already have everything stock I could ever want.

In the unlikely event warranty work is needed I'll revert back to the stock parts. Taking the plunge this year I think helped me grow if that makes any sense, past my comfort zone and into relaxing and enjoying mixing it up a bit.

2nd knife I got aftermarket scales for:
