Bugout or Spyderco Native 5 s110v lightwieght

The Bugout is my true EDC for off work. I sold off my Southern Grind Spider Monkey and my Benchmade 940-2 after I discovered how awesome the Bugout is. That tells you how much I like this knife.

I'd choose both the Manix and Native over the Bugout without a doubt.

Imo , Spyderco just makes a higher quality product. Not to mention the huge selection of blade steels and handle choices.

Thanks for all the responses.
The deciding factor might just be the axis lock. I'm just not good yet w/ a back-lock as a one handed knife.
SGJarrod: thanks for the info on Mid America Arms.
I'm really not a steel snob, but a bugout in 20cv would be fantastic. My goto lightweight is minigrip 555 in 154cm or a 556 in d2.

Again, thanks for the replies

From what I remember there is going to be more in the bugout line. Not sure when they will release the other models tho.

No problem, if your dream knife is a bugout in 20cv and your go to is a 555 or 556 why not just buy a 555-1 or 556-1. Mid America Arms had both for $145 last time I was in there. You know you love mini grips and it sounds like you really want 20cv. The mini grip is a much more stout knife and only weighs 1oz more. Imo you would be hard pressed to notice an Oz difference in your pocket on an edc knife. I'd go -1....but that's just me. I know my 551-1 is head and shoulders above my regular 551. Thicker washers, better fit and finish, no blade play, etc....

I have been carrying a Bugout and I hate to admit I really like it. I have some really nice G10/Carbon Fiber/Ti beautiful EDC knifes which are better built/higher quality materials overall no way around that.

It's the sub 2oz weight that attracted my interest in regards to the Bugout. I forget I have it on me a lot of times, infact I keep tossing my jeans into the dryer forgeting to remove the knife and them hear the banging in the dryer whoops!

Overall it's a great EDC carry for when weight/sizes matters most. It's maybe a bit overpriced to me I think $85 would be more appropriate than the $115 I paid.

I plan on buying a manix 2 110V lite weight, benchmade 940-1 or ZT 0770 M4 this week also. Seems like lite-weight knifes have been growing on me lately.

LOL! I used to have a Spider Monkey as well. I did enjoy how light it was with the titanium and carbon fiber and such, but I like the Bugout better.

If they make some different versions, I'm gonna buy them too.
