Bugs (Bunny) vs. the .25 (Warning:Graphic Content!)

You might want to try a 14.7 and slow your pistol down a bit to improve your accuracy. When you get over 900 fps your pellets become unstable and sacrificing a bit of speed will make your hit count go up.
I rent a 6000 psi Nitrogen Tank, ($50.00 a year) that makes it a whole lot easier to pump up to 3200 psi.

There are some really kick butt Big Bores out there, like in taking Lions and Hogs type stuff.

Did you also know that Lewis and Clark had an Air Gun on their famous trip out West.
It was a repeater and was pretty deadly, state of the art for it's time.

As far as Chemicals, I was the Company CBR (Chemical, Biological, Radiology) Team Leader when I was in the Army (also HAZMAT Trained) and my Girlfriend's Military MOS was Chemical, Biological Warfare. I have a grasp on what those things you mention do.

When guns are outlawed, only airguns will be guns.

no, that's not it... well, you know what i mean.

A friend in the local gun community has gotten heavily into big bore airguns. He's actually planning an all airgun hunt. He's got a 9mm rifle that shoots standard 9mm handgun projectiles (yes, 124s stuff like that) at 1200 fps. An airgun!

geez, come a long way from my daisy's and Red Ryders.

Oh, being a chihuahua owner, i would not doubt your description of Sampson. One of mine almost killed my mastiff... Got lodged in his throat.

(Kidding, kidding)

nice! everyday i say i'm going to head out and get me some rabbits. there's a new excuse everyday why i don't.

picked up a disco in .22 late last year. pcp is addictive and fun... been thinking of a marauder in .25 as a upgrade.

here's my disco...

I've been giving a lot of thought to one of those real big bores, like .355 or so. They are pretty impressive. I have an old china made one (red army training rifle i was told) that with the rws. 177 pellets i can keep em all inside a dime or squirrel head at 50'.
I also have a daisy bb gun i picked up from ag russell some years back that uses special bbs that is ridiculosly accurate. I hang a piece of string from a tree branch and even with a breeze rarely miss. It only shoots about 300 fps i think though, so grasshoppers and dragonflies are all i would take on with that.

I've got one of those Daisy Red Ryder that shoots bbs around 260 and it's accurate as hell. My dad told me the slower the shot, the more time the projectile has to catch on to the rifling therefore the more accurate.

I was just looking at the Banjamin Rouge, .357 that shoots at 1000fps, damn... it's only $1200 bucks lol

$50.00 a year? I'm definitely going to look into that.

I was reading a brief history of airguns a couple hours ago, I had no idea they had them back then. That's *very* interesting about Lewis and Clark, I hadn't read that.

Blister agents are probably the most wicked thing I know about as far as NBC, but I'm sure there are biologicals out there that put them to shame.

The .25 would be a nice upgrade, I am very pleased with mine.

Rabbit, chicken and deer are the only types of meat my uncle eats. . . . No pork or cow. It tastes amazing! The next time he cooks some, I will bring some in for you

Tastes pretty much like chicken, so does squirrel. I've roasted it, fried it and cooked it with dumplings. Still tastes like chicken. Now possum is just nasty, my grandad always cooked that...bleh. Deer and elk yummy.

When I started playing mountain man a few months ago I cooked jack rabbit, bush bunny and cottontail, side by side, without any seasoning or anything, to just compare the meat. The larger ones known as jack rabbits are actually hares and the bush bunny and cottontails, which are significantly smaller, are rabbits. There is another species of rabbit here, the pygmy rabbit, but I never came across one.

To me, hare looked and tasted like dark meat turkey and both species of rabbit looked and tasted like white meat chicken, I'll let you know how hare round two goes...

Hah, I thought by the title that you wacked a rabbit with a .25 CGFBM. Lol! Tasty looking bunny you bagged.

Nice. It has been many years since I had rabbit. The last rabbit I had was a giant heaping plate of rabbit done up like hot wings!

that's not a bad idea, I was just thinking how I was going to cook it. Teriyaki rabbit wings sounds like a good option. I need a deep fryer...
