i recently finished reading a book by John D. McCann called Build the perfect survival kit

the book is full of useful ideas for building kits of various sizes from psk to vehicle kits. i really liked this book and recommend it:thumbup:

i can't get the search to work so has anyone else ever read it?
 
I was just looking at it (had it in my hand) when I was at Borders a couple nights ago getting a copy of the SAS handbook.

It looked really good, but I didn't have the money, so I added to my list to get when I can. :rolleyes:

thanks cecyt1300 but it's not for sale:D i think anyone who reads the threads on kits around here would enjoy the book
 
There was some other forum I found several months ago that had pictures (links) that you could click on and see exactly what he had listed to carry in each of these packs.

Pretty neat I thought...........just can't remember what forum I found these on.....:o .......seems like it was a forum where the questions/answers were one after the other in a list.

The reason why I was so excited to find this was because he listed my SOG Revolver, with a pic, as a good knife to carry for one of the survival packs.

it was a great read.... :thumbup: i still refer back to it on a regular basis....
john also has a cool website where he sells all sorts of cool survival/camping realted gear.....i have ordered from him in the past...
he also did a great article for feild and stream awhile back too..
