My factory build would be easy, a BK-2 with a 3/16" full flat grind blade with jimping on the spine and micarta scales. Oh, in 1095 Cro-Van of course !!!!!!!!!!! I'll take four of these, just let me know when I can order them!!!!!!
The great thing about Beckers is that both these knives are pretty easily doable.....drop point 9? Simple. BK 2 in 3/16's? Camillus made one (iirc; I'll measure mine) and it has a full tang with no cutouts....BK9 with a drop point instead of the clip...that would just about do it for me...

Actually, I think my Cam 2 is next for surgery. ....
BK-17 minus an inch of blade, FFG, thumb ramp, on a 11 handle, no scales.
I'd love to see a Machax, 1/4" thick, full convex grind, and no swedge with almost a drop point tip.
Cam BK2's are .21 thick iirc. Although I'm with you though, a ffg 3/16in bk2 would be quite nice. Although that is more or less just a bk10 without a swedge, and ffg.
That sounds pretty close to the kabar 1117. Not a perfect match, but it might interest you. BK 17 with a ffg, I'd be interested that though.
make it 3/8ths :>
i've been after Ethan for like decades to make one of those.
Full flat grind with a slightly convex edge. Needs to be a drop point 5" blade that is around 1" top to bottom and 1/8" to 3/16 thick. Long and skinny slicer made out of 1095 is what I'm looking for these days.
Yeah, 3/8 would be cool too, but might get too far away from how light the Machax is. I prefer the Machax to the BK2 for a lot of reasons, one of which is that you get a lot more knife (imho) for similar weight.
Now a 3/8 RBK on the other hand.....
