Building or buying belt sander

I have been wanting I nice belt sander for quite some time now at the moment I have a harbor frieght 4x36 one. It does the job ok, but I am interested in building one can I build one with a budget of $75 I already have a motor.
Or buy one for $75?

You will not find any belt sander for 75 bucks. I don't think you can build one for 75 bucks unless you use all junk yard materials and skateboard wheels.

With a decent set of wheels, I'd bump that budget up to about $300 - $350 and it could be done provided you have the equipment necessary to build it.
