Hello. I have done some searching but have not found what place you guys use for buying your knife building supplies?

I have a few questions before I buy my supplies they are as follows:

1. What kind/design/steel of pre-cut full tang blade should I put in my stag handle?

It is going to be for my homemade, bet my life on it, outdoors, camping, hunting knife?

2. Where do I buy this blade?

3.What should I use to fuse the full tang blade to my stag handle that has the best chance of lasting a lifetime?

4.What is the technique or process for fusing them together in what ever ways you guys recommend? How do I cut and prepare the deer antler I am using to match the blade? Is there somekind of selant and beautifying that I want to put on or do to the antler, before or after fusing it to the blade?

Thanks.

You sure use the term "life, lifetime" a lot in your post. Most of us makers are working to create things that will last a lifetime.

I'm not sure I'd trust a kit blade with my life but I've had to trust my life to worse things so I guess it's all a wash.

I want to welcome you here as well.:) You can get most of what you will need just by click on my webiste. I have most of them there to check out. Hope this was of help to you and hope to see some knives from you down the road.
