As my heat treating side business is growing I'm constantly thinking twords the future. And one thing that has come up a hand full of times is bulk orders. I have pointed customers to other vendors becaus thy had large orders 20+ blades. Right now I don't do bulk becaus I do each blade individually. But I'm thinking I would like to in the future.

My thought is to use a top loading kiln and a rack of sorts and hang the blades on hooks. This rack would be loaded up and lowered inside. I would use nitrogen for flooding and then lift the lid and pull everything out at once. At that point we could oil quench or air cool.

Any ideas, this was just a thought for moving into the future

Idk if its cause I'm on my phone or what but I'm not seeing a signature of yours.

EDIT: apparently your supposed to turn your phone sideways. We're good.

What's your average turn around? And can you heat treat any steel? Cryo and everything, from what I see in your sig. any way I can contact you by phone?

Yeah I do any steel, generally I keep LN on hand. I just ran out and wait to fill till I get another order that needs it. I do have a work line that we are setting up. We got the line but have not plugged the phone into it yet. The number is on the heat treat order sheet that is in my signature.

Cool, sounds good. I have 20 blades at peters, but I would like to have someone else on hand till I can get my setup going. I'll get with you. Thanks
