Bullet.....What?

No, I'm saying that the knife shown in the link is an old pattern that was used for one of the Remington Bullet knives back in the 1980s.

I thought a Buck knife like that meant that Buck had the tooling, but as it turns out--Camillus made the knife for Buck.

Buck still makes some of the 300 line in house, and they used to make more than they do now. So I assume they have tooling for those. I'm hoping the 310 whittler might get used as a bullet knife some time in the future, because I would like a different handle than is available from the one place that sells that model. I'm also hoping that some of the discontinued 300 line, will find their way into bullet knives. I don't mind the 500 as a bullet knife, because I like that knife. If future bullet knives go more modern than that, I won't be buying.

This would make a nice bullet knife.

I love that and the black lip canoes. Would be a perfect pattern to consider. Jigged bone and a silver bullet... I’ll take one

If that’s too common a pattern, the old 535 would be cool too!

I would like a 302 Solitaire bullet knife. Maybe its not discontinued, maybe just moved to the Remington line.

The Buck/Remington/Camillus connection is long and varied. The two blade trapper on the bottom half of this catalog cut was also issued as a Remington and as the Buck Millennial Trapper. OH

I'd be happy with one of these........I think Buck did sell this Muskrat pattern for a while, but unfortunately Camillus made it, thus Buck doesn't have the tooling. IIRC the number was 317.

300 Bucks would know. Too bad Buck can't make this one.

Ah, the camillus American wildlife series!
Couldn't find the love for Delrin scales.
The fine cast animal medallions were fine,
And kept wondering just how much better it would look
without that bulbous clear plastic and green background...
Too bad about the back springs being rust prone.

I think this one was made by Camillus because the blades and backsprings are carbon. It seems to be built on the same frame as the 305, so if Buck started making these I wouldn't complain, even though there's no room for a bullet shield.

Amen to that!
Would be unthinkable to see "such mistakes" repeated any day soon,
Seeing that camillus been resurrected.... ;-)

But that same pattern knife, with black valox and a traditional Buck shield would be a welcome addition (or made with a Remington Bullet emblem). Check out David Martin's chicken farming and processing thread from last spring - he used an old one he rebuilt to butcher chicken. I would like Buck to run some of these in limited, annual runs - I get it that the big market is gone - but an annual, small batch, traditional bullet would be cool - using either brand name. OH

Remington is selling these and, according to their website, they are made in the U.S. I don't know if that's old information or what?

Looks like a pretty good knife and I imagine it could get the guts out of a chicken.
