Bummed & happy about possibly getting a ZT 0777

Hello everyone. I went into my local knife shop to look at what they had in stock & to put some more money on some blades I have in jail (layaway), when the store manager who already knows me by name (not a good thing when I'm with my girlfriend) calls me over & tells me "I have some good news & some bad news on your ZT 0777 order".
I thought to myself "ok here he's going to tell me I'm never going to get one & i'm going to have to accept that", not the case. He goes on to tell me & show me the letter from his Kai supplier saying that Kai is not going to be able to complete his orders for the original 0777 because of problems they were having with the construction of the blade (I know we all already knew this) but that they were going to finish the orders with a non composite blade & all the other original designs. I was a little bummed out, but then I thought that I was finally going to be able to get a ZT 0777. I'm not mad at ZT or KAI, but I wish I would have ordered the 0777 a lot sooner to be able to get the original version. Anyways I can't wait till I get the call from the local shop saying they got it in. Have any of you that have them on order also gotten any news? I hope that they will be able to get them out to everyone thats been waiting.

P.S. It's my first thread please go easy on me :D
 
Welcome to the forums:D on the upside you'll be getting one of the (I would assume) uber rare non composite versions!

Any more information about this? First I'm hearing of it.
 
The manager at the store told me that it was going to look the same (same blade design), but not composite. I believe he said the blade was going to be all M390 steal. The handles were going to be the same. He also showed me a picture of it.

Did he show you in person? If not, can you share said pictures?

Yeah I was at the store when he showed me the picture. I'll ask him to see if he is able to share the pictures without getting into trouble. I'm not lying about anything, just trying to share info on a knife that a lot of people are trying to get, including myself. I'm sure more info will come from other people here on the forums as more is released about it.

Sorry Dbag, I was just trying to respond to multiple posts on this thread at the same time. Wasn't trying to say you were accusing me. I'll see If I can get the manager to send me an email of the picture he showed me. I'll share it with you guys If he sends it to me.
