"My" ocelot should from NGK should be here tomorrow. I had a similar thought except my wife will be the recipient. The ocelot has a lot going for it - my wife often wonders, out loud, why I even own more than 1 knife, yet she does not object at all to borrowing one. She does not like "complicated" locks like liner locks, compression locks, axis yis zis. A basic front lock she has no problem with though. And those little paw prints are so cute !:D
Actually, I've been waiting a long time for this one too so I might need to order another one. Thanks NGK!

Dogrunner, thank you!..BTW is that a "Sammie" as your avatar?

yeah, a pic of one of our lead dogs when she was a puppy. Her motto then and now is "why walk when you could be running!":)

We have owned (or been owned) by Sammies and Siberians for 25 years.
Currently have 1 B&W Siberian Husky, 1 Solid White Siberian Husky and 1 X-LG Sammie....had to put one of our Sammies down last week due to heart failure :( Rekon my wife will be back in the market for another musher.

"owned by" is a good description :)
Sorry to hear about your recent loss. We get very attached and they don't live long enough:(
We are going to find out if that Ocelot is a good "mushing" knife - I have no doubt. I'm going to put it on a good lanyard with a mini-biner to clip to the sled or otherwise keep handy. From my wife's point-of-view, if it has an edge and cuts and is easy to open and close it's a good knife (she's not a knife knut). But I know it won't let her down either.
Anyway, a pleasure doing business with you, as always.

Mike,

Usually all the well-deserved compliments go to you. I have a slightly different "Thank You Story". I called on Tuesday morning, looking for a ZDP 189-laminated Calypso. I spoke with Mary Beth. I told her what I was looking for, and she commented that she thought they were all gone.

I work in a lab, and had an experiment going. I explained that to her, and asked if she found one to please set it aside for me. I hung up and changed the necessary conditions on my experiment. I called again and asked for Mary Beth. She took the call, and told me she came across the last one! I told her I wanted it and proceeded with the order. I ordered the knife on Monday, November 7th, and the USPS tried to deliver it on Wednesday, November 9th. I was at work and due to the Insurance signature required, I couldn't pick it up until this afternoon, the 10th of November.

Not only did Mary Beth procure for me the last knife available, but she got it in the morning Postal Pick-up. I just felt that she deserved some sort of recognition for all her efforts. Thank You MARY BETH!!!! :D :D :D !!!"

On another subject, the Calypso Jr. with the ZDP 189 laminated blade, I'm really glad the Sal & Company decided to give this blade material a chance. I've only had it for a few hours, but I can assure you that it cuts every bit as well as my $400+ William & Henry knife with a laminated ZDP 189 Blade!!! Keep up the great work - it is appreciated.
Ken

Hi, Mike,

I didn't see the CF harpy on your site anywhere. Any chance you could post a link at all? A price would be nice too if that's alright.

Thanks,

Win
