A highly coveted quality piece of military history...
T'was used by olive drab clad young men in a time where everyone knew that the Fulda Gap is going to be overrun if they ever let down their vigilance...
Used to open sturdy boxes, slicing open EPAs and birthday cakes for their trench buddies.
Ohl ze Germans were proud to have one in their VW Käfer as a backup when they crossed the alps, to commemorate the Wirtschaftswunder.

needless to say that piece of cutlery reflected the mood of a post-war west germany on the defense.
its a short utalitarian blade
which does the job without fanfare.
its politely adequate.
also beware of non-german look alike clones.

I had a later one, years ago, I thought it was 420 HC steel, I liked the feel and the metal sheath.
