Bura and the counterfeit handle -- Final results.

The reputation of the brand creates the sales. If that goes, all the good work is washed away. THAT is group responsibility.

Well, I suppose we can fire an entire assembly line at Ford when something goes wrong. Or all the staff at the Prison in Iraq with the abuse.
Look- what is most important here is that Bill and Pala are conducting business as they see fit. Yes, we can comment, but my objection to the dismissal of all the assistants is just as valuable as your support; in other words; not much.

I trust Bill and Yangdu and Pala for the long haul. I'm not going to nitpick the microcosm. I don't agree with everything- why should I? And of course, there is always the "Walk a mile in my shoes" to consider when looking at business decisions HI makes. I can't do that. I'm a customer and friend.

The marking is a good idea that probably would not work. The kamis think it is nuts to put marks on the blade, even the marks idenifying the kami who made the knife. I don't think they would ever adhere to extra marking.

I'd be happy with just a Kami mark and do away with the large initials.

Everyone would be happy with a symbol instead of English initials. We all agree they add a somewhat tacky affect to the blade. But talk to the Kamis; they won't stick to symbols, they trade them around and it gets ridiculous to figure out who made what. Why they don't put the initials in their own language is mysterious though.

As I've mentioned I think this is a one time deal. Why the kid did it, I'm not sure, but I suspect he just muffed the handle and was ashamed to admit it so hid it instead. I really don't believe greed was involved but rather pride -- which in certain instances can be the worse of the two sins.

I DONT AGREE SACKING ALL BURAS HELPERS

its just not fair to sack all just cos you cant find the one culprit

bura is supposed to oversee the work and make sure its done properly, he should have been punished for being slack.

his helpers should have been made to own up as to who the guilty one was, and then he alone should have been sacked.

I FOR ONE WILL NO LONGER BUY HI PRODUCTS AGAIN AS THIS DOES NOT SEEM RIGHT TO ME.

EVERY TIME I LOOK AT MY KHUKS NOW I WILL THINK OF THE INJUSTICE DONE BY BIGHORKA.

a pity pala and bill think this is ok to sack the innocent along with the guilty .

i thought you were better than that bill. regards ken
Their culture is very different from yours an mine so perhaps it is best that their actions be judged by their peers and their customs and not by people half a world away.... food for thought.
