That came close to being a very sad story.

A few weeks ago one of my neighbors was awakened by loud noises in the middle of the night. Looking outside from the front door she saw her cat (or parts of her cat) in the jaws of a coyote.

A few of our neighbors small pets have met the same demise.
 
I think our cat became a coyote meal in the last couple weeks. Haven't seen her for quite a spell. I didn't think they could take her, she was tough.
Several have reported lost small pets.
Kind of miss the cat but hold no ill will towards the coyote's or bobcats. Just doing what they do.
Now if they touch my freaking dog, the gloves are off and I go into unhinged mode.

I like that two settings calm and unhinged. Mine has that too, guess I never verbalized it before.
