This is a variation of the standard drop point version of this knife I make. It's a nice carry knife with a useful all around blade shape. The 4" flatground spear point blade is from 1/8"x 1 1/4" 154CM. Cryo HT by D'Holder and mirror polished. Convex edge. Brass bolsters and thong hole liner and brass Loveless bolts. Red/black/white spacers and white liners. Handle is from my own Canvas drill "micarta" dyed using Rit "wine" dye. Colour is a rather subdued Merlot rather than burgandy. That translates into a quiet purple rather than the maroon colour of commercial linen burgandy micarta. The edges have been slightly rounded to provide a more comfortable grip. Weighs 5 oz and balances between the first and second finger, and is 8 1/2"OAL. Distal tapered. Sheath is 6/7 oz bark tanned leather. Wet formed and beeswaxed. Price is $180 paypal, $175 check/mo, plus $4.00 postage CONUS. $25.40 to the UK. and $18.00 to Canada. Contact joelcb@pennswoods.net..............SOLD.

Dunno. Might be the colour of the scales. One of the things I've been doing with the "micarta" I've been making is trying to use colours easy to see if you drop the danged thing. No sense making any of the ones that already exist.
Guess "the colour purple"doesn't work for folks although the actual knife is really nice and the colours a bit more subdued than my lousy photo's show. Oh well........Gee, I wonder if a black handle will work; not many of those out there.;) Right.

Hang on joebolden, I have only been here a couple months and have sold knives weeks after I posted them for sale, right person right time. I have sold everything I have posted on here except one and it will sell, and more as a result of it. My style is nice hunting knives and have moved to making tacticals, they seem to sell better here for me. It has generated several commisioned knives for me as well. It is a great place to show and offer your work and yours is nice so you will have no problems. It is a great place for help and comradary as well. In regards to the purple, not to my liking, but I have found over the years that someone will always come along and that will be the knife for them and they can't live without it.
Hang in there!
Jim

id really hate to see you scrap the handles because it really is a beautiful knife that you executed flawlessly! if i had the money id make you a deal, but i dont, so i wish you luck and urge you not to scrap it just yet, someone will come around! COMON PEOPLE!! :D

BadKarma05, that is because I have been buried in the knife shop finishing up a few to post for sale when I get back form Melbourne, FL. Going to my brothers to fish for some monster FL large mouth, some speckled trout and red fish on the intercoastal waters and shrimping at night. I had some commision work due before I leave so been busy. You should be getting my package first part of the week. Looks like you are coming into some equipment, good luck!

Hey are there any K-State Wildcat fans out there...here is your knife, joe made it just for you!

Joel,
I'll take this knife if its still available. I bought a skinner from you a little while back and am very impressed with your work.
Jason

I own two of Joel's knives; the quality and workmanship are absolutely perfect. His eye for precision fit and finish are very obvious when you pick one of his knives up for the first time. My Wharncliffe from Joel is a dedicated shop/utility knife that sees lots of daily use and has all the lines/geometry that make it ideal for my needs. Any of his knives are a real bargain in my book. A super nice guy, too.:)

Sold to Jason.......thank you sir. I've e-mailed you the paypal account. Still have your account data from the last knife.

Danny, fancy meeting you in a place like this:) . For those that read this, Danny is a SUPERB leather worker. His work is a form of practical art.
