This is the large Exkalibur from Burger Knives. It is an extremely well made folder with very tight tolerances. OAL is just over 7,5 inches with blade length a bit under 3,5 inches. Comes with the anodised ti clip and the extra thick Ti liner, also anodised (both upgrades) and Carbon Fiber scales. Blade steel is Bohler N690, expertly tempered. Condition is excellent, no scratches, dings, scuffs or nicks. Edge is perfect and very sharp. This is probably the perfect gents or office folder, extremely light and compact but very strong with a nice, useful cutting edge. No box or pouch, just the knife.

Asking $285 shipped. Payment via PayPal, please add 3,5% for fees.

burger knives certainly enjoy a good rep. after watching a video of manufacture practices some time back i was impressed with the emphasis on careful manufacturing & tolerances. certainly not inexpensive but in line with prices for this quality. n690 is actually a better performer than many products made of this alloy which is offered in quite a few models. informed private heattreaters can tweak this steel to very high performance levels. whether this is done by burger is not known but makes me curious as to buying one & having it tested by some of our own respected formites.---dennis

Dennis, IMO these guys really know how to get the best out of this steel. As you know Jim Ankerson rates it pretty highly... its good stuff!

Is it a linerless knife?

EDIT: Nevermind, its perfectly clear on the pics.

PM sent with question.
