Burger Knives

It looks like a nice knife and I have heard good things about them.

The logo (and name) is awfully similar to "gerber" though.

Hi everyone. Just check if the website still gives any problems? It seems to have been sorted out now.

Spikedog.

Has your EXK arrived yet?

No I haven't got my knife yet, but it may be related to the website -- if you can believe it;). Trevor Burger emailed me and said that he no longer had my address. Apparently, a virus got ahold of their site and wiped out some records. This also explains the errors some have been experiencing with the site. My knife is in route now though. I'll get a couple of pics up when I get it.

I like one hand opening, or a notch for my nail, but I can see why you like it, I really dig how smooth it looks, the lines are great.

I bought one from Vince. It is a very smooth opening little knife. I'm traveling so I can't post a pic. It is not fast to open but for any practical purpose it's just fine. The steel is easy to touch up. It could stand to have a bit stronger clip.

Here's mine:

I too would like more detail on this....

When the blade is closed, the top corner of the tang, moves to the bottom of the frame (handle)
It has grooves,for traction.You hold the knife & use either a thumb,or finger & "flick" it open.Not a flipper,but a unique opening assistance
I pinched the blade & opened it
These are smooth folders,with strong lock up.Light in weight & sharp,ground & finished,real nice

Hey VCM3:

Is that an Excaliber 2 with Carbon Fibre scales? I just asked for a quote on one.

I love the looks of the knife, but for the price, I'd prefer a different blade steel, something like VG-10 at least.

That has a lot going for it. The flat grind, nice belly on the blade, and clean design. Also looks pretty thin and light, a great EDC.

I'm a fan of clean looks, don't want any unnecessary bumps, dimples, curves, recurves on my knives.

N960 Bohler in my experience is equal even a bit better then VG-10. It is a good alloy.

Looking at their website I can only find one model (Tactical) with a pocket clip.

coop

All the knives can be had with apocket clip. Its a bit extra $ though. Trevor does not put pocket clips normally on the models since most people here in SA do not care for them that much. (think its a gimmic :p)

O yes. The Tactical is being re done by Trevor as far as I know.

I really liked this one soo much from the pics and the specs that I just ordered one (via e-mail) - it's in stock and will be shipped tomorrow and ETA is 10 days :)
