Wow thats nice! Are you spying on me? lol. I am working on one almost the same except for the hollow grind. Mine is a flat grind. Those handles are awesome. Great job.

Not sure what "wonkey" means but the finish on this blade is hand sanded to 1000grit. The last picture is the same side of the knife, it was taken after the knife had been outside in the heat for a little while, I figured some moisture was trying to form on the cool blade. Thanks for stating your opinion, I'll take some different pics tomorrow, be sure to check it out.

I went ahead and took some close-ups of the blade finish. On the first close up you can see two small dots on the blade, one located in the middle about a quarter inch up from the edge, and the other up high close to the plunge. This is where I Rockwell tested the blade after tempering. It tested at 59 on the Rockwell C scale.
Thanks again cablemonkey

I am fortunate to own a couple of Mr. Hoover's knives and can assure
anyone these are extremely well made, built like a tank.
-Working man's knives, that will outlast us all.

Why is this knife still for sale? It should be on it's way to a new owner by now.

P.S. Cablemonkey... What's "wonky" mean? :D;)

Sent. There's an underscore between the k and the e that doesn't always show. Kind of wonky, but it reduces spam.

Hansli I have not received anything from you as I type this. You can click on denim at the top of this message and e-mail me.
