Hey guys I have another question, what are some of the top sources for wood for the handles? I have access to an extensive wood shop with stabilizing capabilities, so I am also wondering if there is maybe a cheaper option to buy larger pieces or just pieces I can stabilize myself and maybe save money that way. Anyways just wondering what solutions you resourceful fellows have!

So my uncle owns a cabinet shop that builds these resin impregnated boxes for fossil collectors. They suspend actual fossils in the boxes and then sell them for thousands of dollars. They have quite a few different tools including a vacuum impregnator and other things I'm not even sure of what

I don't know about "stabalizing" capabilites, but as for a source for woods with good grains and good colours, one of the best sources I found is the wood from old skids and pallets. They're just thrown together with whatever scraps r around, and I've found some really cool grains and curly stock in them. I even heard of one guy that found a pallet with ebony wood on it. I've never gotten THAT lucky, but skids to seem to hold some surprisingly good stock.
