Here's my latest EDC. The handles are some of my custom Burlap handles. This is my first try with this pattern and I'm still on the fence about it. It consists of 2 layers of Black burlap, one layer of Brown burlap and a layer of Natural burlap then the layers are repeated.

The sheath design is one that was inspired by one I saw on an Anza knife. This handcrafted leather sheath can be worn around the neck with an adjustable lanyard that consists of Brown camo 550 cord that is gutted. It attaches to the knife with a heavy duty Stainless Steel swivel to keep the cord from twisting when moving around a lot. It can also be worn on the belt, just simply unsnap it and use the handy belt loop on the back.

I'm discounting this knife. For some reason, my Makers Mark did not etch well. When I went to clean it up, a good portion ground off, which is unusual. Rather than risk grinding the mark off and making the blade really thin, I decided to knock off some of the asking price. It doesn't affect the performance of this razor sharp knife in the least little bit!!

If you're looking for a tough user knife to carry every day, this one will fill the bill!

Steel: 1/8" 1080
Hardware: one 1/8" black micarta pin at the front (which nearly disappears against the black burlap), one 1/8" Natural micarta, two 3/32" black micarta pins at the rear with a Stainless Steel thong tube.
Handles: Burlap phenolic laminated material - 2 layers of Black burlap, one layer of brown, one layer of natural then repeated
Blade: 3 1/4" tip to front of scales with about 3" edge. Heat treat scale left on the flats then deep blued to a black color
OAL: 6 3/4"

Nice work man!

Thanks Chris, that's much appreciated, especially coming from a maker of your caliber!

Snellvilleblade, thank you for the purchase and payment. I'll get it in the mail to you first thing Monday morning!

Love the size & shape ( and the neat little neck sheath). The handle doesn't do much for me--just personal preference. A nice piece of walnut or curly maple, even a piece of oak would really set it off. Hope see more & get to BF in time. Larry

Thanks, I appreciate the comments. I use a lot of wood but I also like to make my own laminates. The contrast in this pattern just didn't turn out like I'd hoped but it'll still make a great user with a tough handle. It'll probably be a little while before I make another. Got to turn out some bushcraft knives and some Kitchen knives. Been stuck on this EDC stuff for a while (one of my favorite type of knives) :)
