HEY Shotgunner....
Thanks for the post and pix from the "other side".....Nice to know that my other favorite knives are up to the task.....
55 gallon drums are a basic building block of mature life forms.....Just do not forget the Norton stone......
BTW I am mildly irritated that your drum project IS more creative than mine....LOL.....I guess this means I get to buy the first beer at BLADE....Oh Well.......
All Best.....

Hey Moose,
I have another video idea, but really need an experienced man behind the camera. Ethan says you work for calories.
It is an outdoor mission. So you will need to wear a jacket and maybe a hat. It was -1.8 degrees this morning. Moose like cold right?
Hit me up with some airfare, and I'm on my way, tripod, Sony Digicamcorder, and some Jack Daniels.

That sounds fair to me. How about something to snack on while we sip on some JD. We actually have a store down the road called Liquor Town. Is that cool or what![]()
Just a note from the guy behind the camera, that was a new steel drum, no rust, not degenerated metal on that thing. Ethan really had to wail on that mallet to get through the bottom of that thing. I mean really, really had to wail on it.
He had to get the bottom dented inward first, because it kept bouning the blade back and didn't punch through. The sides, it went through like butter, no problems at all there, but if you have ever seen those heavy duty drums like that, the bottom is always thicker, I guess for wear and tear.
It was a badass test, and for only a quarter inch of the blade edge to MILDLY ROLL, and not chip out, that's hot. When I say roll, you have to look at in the right light, or else you won't even see it.
Becker's are tough, alot tougher than a steel drum. Fell free to quote that, if you wish.
