i am in the process of building my forge burners. i am going with the Oliver upwind burner which is a simplistic version of the Reil burner.
i'm in the mocking up stage.

so here is my question is it ok to have my gas line "in line" as in the picture? or should I put a T in between and go that route?

thanks

What size is your gas line and what size is the orifice at each burner?

Jake,
The way I do thing's I would make the 2 burners separated by a valve, this way if you are working a small peice or just need a quick heat on something you can fire up one burner. But not everyone is a cheap as me :D
Looks pretty good so far

Jake, what I did on my 2 burner forge was to use a needle valve on each burner. I think you will need the adjustability, as well as the option to use either burner or both. It appears to me with the pipe sizes you have and no bell reducers that the burner tube is almost closed off by the fuel line. Without the bells it will be real sensitive to wind, as well. I used choke plates as well for adjustment and to close off for single burner operation.

Good luck and have fun.

the design calls for a bunch of 3/8 holes under the gas line on the burner tube for the air intake.

thanks
