    I'd consider that eleven hundred to be the top temp, is that hot enough for you ?
    After shipping the heating elements would need replacing.I'd count on installing a new controller too.

Burnout ovens are normally used in the 1000°F to 1300°F to burnout lost-wax molds. They all say that the max is 2000°F/, but consider like the speedometer in your car going up to 120MPH. I generally consider them good to about 1500°F. They will work for knife HT on a single carbon steel blade, but are poor substitutes for a proper knife HT oven. If the price is $100 get it, If more pass.
