Something I've been wondering about for a while now, I'm wondering if anyone could shed some light on it.
I keep hearing about and seeing videos from blade show of new products from burrking, specifically the BBA20 large contact wheel machine, and the "surface grinder" attachment for the 960.
Trying to search up these machines they clearly demonstrate seems to be impossible?
Nothing I can find on their website, or the websites of any of the burrking dealers I can find.
Showing them off for a few years before actually releasing? Some one-off they did to take around to shows? Or am I just useless with Google?

Yes, Tom is the guy to talk to. The 20" machine was first made for Tony Bose, then put into limited production. I believe I heard it will be discontinued, not enough demand. I want one, but?

the surface grinder option is in process on the Hardcore as well, I recall seeing a pic on a FB site with a solid model
so I'm thinking it's the same on a Burr King
I haven't seen one being used yet

Thanks, that clears it up somewhat. I just found it odd they'd have videos of them in use at blade show, and no mention of them on their website.

I'd quite like a BBA20 as well, but I've rather exhausted my tool budget recently... Might just have to get a 20" contact wheel when I finally put the 3x132 together...

I had the chance to grind on one of the 20" wheels at a hammer-in and I fell in love with it. I had hoped to get one someday, but I guess that may not happen. I recently acquired a used Burrking, and I like the machine, but I wish the company had more info on their website. They just list all the parts by number, but don't actually show the part. I would like to see what kind of buffing conversions can be done with the Burrking. If anyone has video on that I would appreciate it.

The little bit I know about the buffing conversion comes from trugrits website. It looks like they sell a spiral point like you'd put on a Baldor to go in place of the contact wheel. At that point you could swap wheels as fast as any buffer with points, and you'd have a powerful (and potentially variable speed) drive system.
I could see it brings really great buffer, I just can't see it being anything but a huge pain in the ass though unless you had multiple grinders... I find myself going back and forth between the buffer and polishing belts constantly to get out all the scratches before the final buffing

i used a taper point and buffing wheel on my Hardcore and it works great.
