Whatcha think of this one? Forged 1095, clay tempered blade of almost 9". Stabilized spalted Madrone Burl slabs with nickel silver pins.

Now I think that's exactly what I'd like to work with around a camp! Blade enough for the real work, and styled to really excel in the camp kitchen - make's food prep a pleasure!
And on top of that is an active enough hamon to really bring out the steel work! Sweet! :)

Burt makes a great knife. Good luck with yours it is a beaut. I have 2 with a 3rd in the works. I can't wait. After he won the best utility/hunter award at the 2003 knife expo his backlog went from 1 month to 3 months. It is worth the wait.

Congrats Danbo! Now that I've been able to tear my eyes away from that cool hamon, let me add that that's some gorgeous wood for the handle and the sheath looks real nice as well.

Cheers,

Roger

Burt is doing some very cool things these days. Danbo - you'll be very pleased with this knife. And, uh, you can thank me later ;) :p

This knife is similar in style to the one I reviewed here (link)

Wulf - thanks for the link to that GREAT review! How in the heck did I miss that the first time 'round?

Cheers,

Roger

WOW! Those are some awesome camp knives! I just may have to order one myself :D

Man Danbo, this one really takes your breath away. How do you keep coming up with them? Racer Roy :D

RacerRoy, Wulf sent me an email the other day that said simply, "Buy This Knife!". Included in the email was a link to this picture. That's all it took; the rest is history. :)

Danbo, sweet score! I love that Foster camp knife... I bet Wulf didn't need to twist your arm much at all. Bring her with next time we play show and tell, huh?
