Burt Foster Knife

Hi Guys,

Burt Foster is showing an awsome knife in the custom forum. It has a 416 stainless blade with a 1095 core. Ok, I understand that, but how did he get the awesome hamon? Is it indeed on 416 Stainless Steel

No hamon there. What you're seeing is the zone of decarburization at the weld boundary between the 1095 and the 416....
