An amazing knife from Mr. Foster. 3inch forged 0-1 blade, 7.5 OAL with an upgraded scale of beautiful Buckeye. I had asked Burt if he had any special scales for this knife and he recommended this one set of Buckeye he had. Much better in person.

Enjoy.

Wow! What's not to like? I love the wood and the tapered tang, love the sheaths. Fantastic package all around.

What great little package. Excellent Buckeye Burl, nice profile and handle shape. Nice sheath. Strong piece from an excellent maker.

I just received mine last week in walnut. I wish I had gotten buckeye too. I did not know he had buckeye. This is a great little knife and a fantastic bargain. The sheath is great too.

I just love these knives. I've been using the heck out of this one:

Looks like this must be one of Burt's standard designs?
If so, is "Blue Collar Hunter" Burt's name for this design?

Kevin - "Yes" to both questions. This knife represents Burt's effort to deliver a high performance forged master smith hunter / utility at an attainable price point. Hence the name.

I agree that his effort has paid off.

Thanks for all your comments! This is one the best deals in a forged blade from an MS.

muddy672,
Nice knife you got there. I got mine not too long ago too.
Really a great cutting machine for such 'small-size' knife. I love it a lot.
Also Burt Foster is one of the best to deal with.

Here is a picture for my blue collar hunter and drop-point hunter by Burt Foster.

I've had a knife on order with Burt for just about a year now, it's his "The Personal". Nice little ladder Damascus utility a with Buckeye burl handle. This thread is making me antsy to get it!;)

Great looking knives,PRIMO wood.
The 01 sounds pretty cutty, what have you been cutting,Roger?
Super looking sheaths,too.

Don't have anything by Burt yet but he did middleman my first overseas deal with Stephen F. last summer.
Burt is a great guy.

Thanks Joe Chen. That's a great looking little knife. I can't wait to get mine.

I've just receive one too ! Here's mine (pictures from Burt Foster...) :

What can i say ? Well It's an impressive and very very well made knife ! Everything is perfect and Mr Foster is really really a great guy !
I enjoy his knife so much that a Blue Collar Camp knife in 1095 (this way i can see the temper line on the brushed finish, compare to O1 model...) with Curly Maple handle is on my waiting list for next Christmas ! The fact is : Knives from Mr Foster are as nice as he is, and those who knows his works know what i mean...:D
