Burt Foster small damascus integral

Hi Gary,very nice looking knife.
As the very wise Mr WIN HEGER himself has said ,you need to send this knife off to that someone he mentioned in Wyoming for real world testing. He would work those domed pins all nice and flush to the wood for you :D.
Plus people would like to know how many deer and elk it can handle, before needing a touch up.What sayest thou,Sir :)

G2,
Great Score!!

BTW, if you wish to depart this beauty in the future, please send it to Thailand.

Eddy

thanks guys, and Raj, maybe, hard to say, there is a magnet in my hip and it's
sort of stuck there ;)

and Eddy, that would probably be a good snake knife for you out there in Thailand
what a country that was, amazing, wish I had more time to visit, maybe next time!

That's quite a fine piece of work you picked up, Gary.......doesn't get mucher nicer than that.

Thanks Dudley, I figured it this way, I gave him some pieces of paper
and in return, he provided an heirloom piece of cutlery that I can hand
down to my grandson.
This may be one knife that I actually hang on to :)
I know Win had asked if I had posted it up forsale yet and I've had friends
tell me to put them in line for when I sell it, but, heck, I'm getting old, this
may be the nicest one I'll ever get for a long time, I think I better hang onto it! ;)
G2

Gary, call me your grandson and pass the knife :D:D.
If this is the one you are going to hang onto, then the Krein in the 3V would do:D.

Hehe, probably not, but I'd recommend getting one of the Krein's in 3v, wicked!

It's a crying shame, was gone this week, just home last night and
have to leave tomorrow for two more weeks to Madrid Spain for work
but I don't dare pack this rascal in my checked luggage, that's all
I need is to have this one misplaced by the handlers or who ever.
the last two trips I had, both times they, USAir, lost my luggage with
just one stop at Philly...so I'll have to be content to view these images
while I am away, man I really hate traveling any more!

I would really like to see a picture of that sheath from the back if you get the time, both knife and sheath look great.

Thanks nikoknife48 and Richard, here are a few quick shots taken this morning
before my flight to Spain, Burt said he saw this style of sheath and liked it and
included it in his work, I said I may also borrow it's style later on too ;)

As you can see, most of the knife is held inside, there is no guard to cam lock onto
so it relies on friction of the handle, plus when on the belt the belt pulls the sheath
around your body and that also adds some retention to the knife inside.

It's one big piece of leather with a welt and a small piece of leather inside to cover the snap

Burt uses a sewing machine, in this case, one side has white thread, the other had black thread
