Burton Harruff of Burton knives took best new maker and best hand forged awards at the Ohio Classic show, this weekend.

Burton has only been making knives for a little over two years, but he is turning out quality work and pushing the envelope as he does.

Here are the two knives that won him the awards:

Burton's skills have made quantum leaps quickly!!!
I am sure he would credit Mr Rowe for much of that
Way to go Burton

Thanks everyone. I am very excited and motivated after winning these. I was planning on taking a few days to recoup and was out in the shop grinding and working on a couple of damascus blades last night:) Fred has been a very positive part of my knife making. I only wish ol' Fred was a bit closer so I could visit the forge more often. Fred is a good teacher and has become a very good friend. Thanks buddy. -Burton

Very nice. Congrat's to him!!

Those two were just two of many very nice knives he had on his table. I have a feeling that in future years, he will have quite a collection of those awards.

Congrats Burton, I saw the Best Handforged but did not know that you got Best New Maker. That is awesome.
