bush hog blades

There may be different types of steel,but does anyone know if a bush hog blade would make good knifemaking material?

I don't know...but I'd like to find out also. We replace 6 blades every other year on our bush hog. That's a lot of knives worth of steel. I do know you'd have to forge the stuff 'cause it's entirely too thick to use as stock removal.

Yea it is thick.If i can ever get my forge built,i am going to find out
