Bush Hog sheaths...

I asked this below, in another thread, but it might have been overlooked, so I'll ask again.

I've read all the threads to date about the Bush Hog, and really like the knife, but would like to see a picture of the sheath if possible. I really like the Kydex sheath that came with my Campanion, and appreciate the fact that it's ambidexterous. Being left handed, I have only two sheath knives that are still in the original sheath, the Campanion and a Glock M-78. As the sheath is at least as important as the knife it contains, I'm glad to see that more knives are coming out with decent sheaths, and hope that the Bush Hog sheath is of the same quality as the rest of the BK&T line. I understand from a previous thread that the sheath will be nylon, with internal stiffeners nad lash-down points, but could we please see a picture? The shot of the knife was great, so a look at the sheath would be nice, too. Thanks.

V Shrake,
I answered you last question regarding sheaths in its thread, here....

I do not have a pic of the sheath at this time. I should have one avialible after the first of the year, and I promise to get it up as soon as its avialible. If there are any other specific question, feel free to ask, and I'll do my best to answer.

Happy Holidays,

Will;

Thanks for getting back to me, but there isn't any answer in that thread. I've checked numerous times, even reloading, and can't see an answer. The last post in that thread is mine, asking about the sheaths. So, just to satisfy my curiousity, is the Bush Hog sheath ambi? Thanks.

V Shrake-
Your computer is probably loading the page from cache and not loading the updated one. Here is Will's post from that thread... of course your computer will probably load this thread from cache, too, and you will not be able to see it here, either!!!

V Shrake,
The sheath will be a plastic lined, PROPEX[nylon] sheath, with a hard 'cut strip'
along the welt to keep the BUSH HOG's edge from cuttin through the stitching.
It will not be ambi like the kydex sheaths are, but you will be able to put it on
your belt on either side. With its long recurved edge, we had to make it this
way.

The good news for you is that it will be suggested retail of $99.95. I'm sure
you will be able to find it on the 'net for $79.95 or less.

I'll put up more pics as we get closer to release date.....sometime next month.

Thanks, Orion.

As you supposed, this reply would have been lost as well, had I not reloaded the thread once I had opened it. I noticed on the status bar that there were four responses, but saw only two when I opened the thread; reloaded, and like magic, your two posts appeared. Sorry for the confusion, folks. Could be time to update my browser.

And definitely looking forward to a Bush Hog. That would give me three Camillus blades: my M-3 (the re-issue from the mid-nineties, in a M-8A1 bayonet sheath), my Campanion, and the big tree beater to come. Not as many as some on the forum, but I definitely like the ones I have. If I could find a Marine Utility in a Kydex sheath, I could be persuaded to buy at least one more. Anybody know who carries these? I've heard of them, but so far have only seen Kabar's in the Kydex. Merry Christmas.
