bush knife for s. florida

I have 2 Wet Enviro for that same reason (boat knife for one of them) and the handle is fully enclosed so no rust on the tang.
I found that the Cold Steel handles have enough space to accumulate water inside the kraton handle/tang, if you are going to dunk them either wash/dry them well or seal the spaces with some silicone.
The Fallknivens and Bark Rivers are well sealed. The Gerber looks also good on that aspect.

The Wet Enviro Recon is a fine knife. I don't think Mike is making any more of them, but I like mine.

Falkniven f1 I'd go with the regular blade over the black one...the coating looks Sh*tty when it gets scuffed up..the regular f1 is a dynamite blade.

coldsteel is way too thick for a bush knife its not what I would call a good camp knife. I would put it more like survival combat knife. Depending how much you want to put down, F1 are nice people like the rat series but 1095 steel does rust. How about buck knives they are cheap knives made of 420 hc if you are not a steel snob, they will probably out live you unless you plan to do some major prying and cutting down redwoods with it.

The SRK is bigger than he is looking for, but there is the Master Hunter (4.5" drop point and full flat ground) is way lighter than the SRK. It's a nice blade if you find it a good price.

cold steel master hunter is cheap stainless steel good kitchen knife steel not as good as buck 420hc steel. Handle is way better feel than mora which always feel ultra cheap to me. It suffers from the same problem that the mora has imo, that being not a true full tang. Its 1/3 the price of buck knife so that may be a selling point.
