Baby Chisos: 01 tool steel, scandi bevel, 5 1/2" OAL, blade 2" x 1" x 1/8" bead blast canvas micarta or G10 scales, nickel silver or brass solid or tube pins. Originally designed and fabricated from a Milwaukee SawZall blade (see prototype in gallery). I received lots of interest and decided to offer the Baby Chisos in a more refined version. 01 tool steel with kydex belt sheath. A very good every day carry (EDC)/utility knife. This one can be taken anywhere...except to a gunfight.

The fact that it looks like you used Paint not even Photoshop for the log on the blade is just cheap.:thumbdn:

Admit it, the whole knife looks cheap and fake - it's made of plastic. You are a bright guy with a very keen eye (singular). Thanks for the comment.

this one is a photoshopped knife - the knife does not even exist

...but I actually made this one while in prison for impersonating a United States Military Officer (read all about it right here on this forum:-)

Is there a secondary bevel? It looks like the scandi edge is ground, and then the blades are stonewashed/blasted in some way. Is that correct?

Bead blast followed by final grind

I think it wouldn't hurt to deburr / chamfer the insides of the tubing.

Your mark will be clear & you can stop the photoshop logo when you go to a finer finish than the blasting.

I wouldn't call it scandi grind with only one side ground.

I also think when you start grinding plunges and bevel both sides you will discover just how "easy" it is.

The bead blast deburrs to a degree. I tried chamfering and I don't like the look. Both sides are beveled 12 degrees. I don't know of any single scandi bevel. When I decide to get a grinder better than the $150 one I am currently using I am certain I will "discover" that this knife gig is easier than I had ever imagined. thanks for your comments

ps My mark is clearer than any I have seen on this forum because laser engraving is superior.

this one is laser engraved:

My website AND the second sentence of my post clearly states that the chisos is a scandi bevel - try reading first and asking questions after you comprehend what was read. Also, if you look at the black and white photo above you can see that both sides are beveled. I know absolutely nothing about knives.

ps Thanks for your service as an EMT. I am a fake Marine, Green Beret and Firefighter

It's called a chisel grind. I'm sure there are a lot of things about knives you don't know.

You're not paying attention. I'm not saying your knives have a chisel grind. I'm saying that -if- they were only ground on one side (which you said you've never heard of) it would be called a chisel grind.

I stand corrected. Post #14 and NOT you, implied that only one edge is beveled. I am sorry. I never heard of a scandi single bevel but that may be a common thing in canada:-)

I'd like to see this one in action. How does the chisel grind perform with edc tasks like cutting up boxes etc?

Who did the heat treat on the blade? Was this pre fabricated and heat treated before it came to you?
