I have always enjoyed knives with cord wrapped handles on them and today I decided to make one. Its nothing real special, I left some of the hammer marks on it followed heat treating and tempering processes and polished out the hamon. Its 1084 and sharp enough to cut air! I cut with it all day and its still as sharp as it was when I sharpened it. Thanks again for all the help I get on this forum,Charlie

I'm not normally drawn to the cord wrapped handle blades, but I really like this one. Nice work!

I also am not usually drawn to cord-wrapped handles, but lately I've taken a liking to them, and honestly it's because of knives like this one. Clean lines, and it looks like something you might actually use. Hamon is a really nice touch, too. Good work!

thank you guys alot, I really appreciate it! They are real fun to make and its the kind of knife you dont mind messing up, and even if you do its a quick fix. I appreciate your kind comments,Charlie

Looking good there Charlie, only thing I'd change would be to make a deeper finger notch/choil or put a nice fat triple Turk's head on the front. Stop buy and I'll show you how. I won't even begin to try to explain it over the phone.

Now let me reiterate our phone conversation....

QUIT BREAKING ALL THOSE DAMN BLADES AND START CARRYING YOUR KNIVES  :p

Guys, he's probably got 1 1/2 5 gallon buckets of broken blades where he's worked on perfecting his heat treat. :(

Thanks Will, The next one I will definitely put a deeper finger notch on, It very easy to cut the heck out of yourself, Look forward to seeing you and learning some more, Thanks again Will Charlie
