I've drawn up a model of what I would consider a useful bushcraft knife. I'd like to get some feedback and possibly an estimate on how much somthing like this might cost. The thing just to the right of the jimping is an obtuse-angled edge to use for shaving magnesium or striking a ferro rod, as not to use and dull the good edge.

IMHO it would be alot more versitile if it wasn't bent. I like the ferro striker. What are the specs? Also you should ask a mod to move this to wilderness and survival. You will get a lot more opinions from seasoned outdoorsmen. :)

Specs... I'm not very knowledgable about steels and things unfortunatly, but i know it would be full tang and the blade would be about 3/16ths on an inch thick
and i would like to move it to the wilderness and suvival page but i dont know how.

After thinking about it, ive decided that if i did have it made, a strait handle would make more sense

not bad. i don't think the canted blade is a bad idea, just a little too aggressive. i like the indexing and that ferro striker is a good idea. i'm not sure it would be comfortable to use in that position, though, expecially given the cant of the grip. maybe bent the other way, like a grohmann.

How about blade length? Hnadle material? As for not being knowledgable about steels and things, that is what this forum is for. I bet 90% of the members (myself included) didn't know much about steels, grinds, locks etc. until they were a member here for a while. Welcome to bladeforums, but be warned, this site is expensive:D.

How about something along these lines:
Perhaps change the grinds some but this looks very similar to your drawing less the angled handle which you said you didn't care for.

Or this one

Horan makes this if you are wanting to have it made. your design isn't too far different.
