Bushcraft Knife Challenge results!!!

Congrates Bruce. Very nice knife. I'm sure Tony is getting alot of use out of it. It's great to see some of the makers getting orders from this challenge.

Thanks for the comments guys! I'm not sure what to say....... but what a privilege and honour to compete with such a talented pool of makers, who I respect and admire.

Also thanks to the guys who buy my knives:thumbup:

Mud Creek Forge

Again, I do like the overall profile of the knife, it was a good design. I hope the maker takes my critiques as constructive criticism, as I really mean no disrespect.

Thank you Mud Creek Forge for your participation and I look forward to seeing more work from you in the future.

Thank you guys! and no no disrespect taken. the first thing I did when I got it back was inspect it. I saw the flats and cringed, knowing it would REALLY hamper me. I wish I had caught it before sending it. I didnt think it was a bad knife, after all being made in a week after my regular 8-5 job! (what I would consider a rushed job.) After I inspected it, I reground the bevels even thinner and refined that edge. I couldnt believe I let it go out the door in such a poor shape. the handle liner issues were solved after the fact as well. lol I sold it to a friend after fixing it all up. I would be happy to make anyone else a knife anytime. of course minus those issues.

Thanks to everyone involved with this project. Great idea. Great execution. Great opportunity to see the skill of so many talented knife designers and makers at one time.

Bruce, I'm anxiously awaiting my new bushcraft knife !!!

I received Donavon Phillips' knife yesterday. Pics don't do it justice, this thing is great! I really like the scales. Now I just can't wait for the rain to quit so I can try it out. I spent my time playin in the rain, I don't have to do that anymore. :D

How sad, after about a year of hot and heavy posting,

...the W&SS Buschcraft knife challenge results get moved from the W&SS Forum.

Very sad times indeed.

it does seem to have slowed down a little bit, but its just a busy time of the year. I personally just finished classes and start exams this coming week so i could see how time could be a little bit of an issue right now. I'm sure things will pick back up as we get into the outdoor season :-D

night all
